This factor has been calculated for a large number of Golden Retrievers.
In October 2011, K9Data had 305,197 Golden Retrievers with an average 10 generation COI
of 9.7%. The average 10-generation for COI for 27,735 Labs was 9.5%
This study deals with a subset of that data (i.e., major AKC title holders)
12% of Goldens with major AKC titles have missing entries in their pedigrees that preclude the
calculation of 10 generation COIs. The last update was July 2011.
The following chart shows that FTCs have the lowest COIs on average while SDHF Goldens have the largest.
