This factor has been calculated for a large number of Golden Retrievers.
In August 2010 K9Data had 277,950 Golden Retrievers with an average 10 generation COI of
9.83%. The average 10-generation for COI for Labs was 11.11%
This study deals with a subset of that data (i.e., major AKC title holders)
12% of Goldens with major AKC titles have missing entries in their pedigrees that preclude the
calculation of 10 generation COIs. The last update was May 2010.
The following plots COI versus lifespan.
The following histogram illustrates the data distribution in COI's.
The following chart shows that MACHs have the lowest COIs on average while SDHF Goldens have the largest.
K9Data lists the top 5 ancestors contributing to COI for each pedigree
Here is the ancestor which is the top ancestor most often for various title groups.
Note: The average % contrtibution for the CH title group need to be calculated.
